Your future place of work:

You will be working for our customer ATLAS ELEKTRONIK in Bremen as a software developer for sonar systems (m/f/d).

The internationally positioned maritime high-tech company ATLAS Elektronik is a market and technology leader in many areas of hydroacoustics, sensor technology and information technology.

Your tasks:

• Your area of responsibility is the independent development of software components for sonar systems
• You will analyze requirements for sonar functions, design corresponding software components and implement them for our sonar systems
• You conceptualize algorithms and evaluate their applicability for use in the software components and are also responsible for the creation of specifications, design and test descriptions
• You are responsible for testing the software components and analyzing errors in the target system
• You will also maintain existing software components and implement your own ideas for redesigning them
• You present your results to different target groups as part of the system development process
• You monitor technological trends and play a key role in implementing them in the company

Your profile:

• Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, communications engineering, mathematics, physics or a comparable qualification
• First professional experience in software development, clean code and software craftsmanship are no foreign words, you enjoy writing tests just as much as production code
• Sound knowledge of object-oriented software development with modern C
• Experience in the areas of design, testing, build (cmake) and/or continuous integration of software (CI/CD) preferably with GitLab
• Adept at translating mathematical algorithms into efficient software
• Initial experience in the field of digital signal processing or sonar processing (e.g. FFT, FTR)
• Good written and spoken German and English skills
• Up to 50% remote work possible after consultation with the specialist department
