Application engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on software

Join a dynamic development team (R&D) dedicated to developing innovative solutions for data capture and authentication of travel and identity documents. Our team consists of experienced hardware and software developers with diverse expertise. YOUR TASKS:

As an expert (m/f/d) for the software integration of DESKO software products, you are part of the software team and the link between the customer, support, development and sales. You will accompany the integration of software and at the same time ensure that our solutions meet the highest standards in terms of performance and reliability.

• You will build up comprehensive expert knowledge of DESKO hardware and software solutions.
• You will support the sales department in the sales process, analyze customer requirements and develop individual solution concepts.
• You accompany and provide technical support for customer projects during the implementation phase
• You support and train our customers on software integration topics so that our solutions are used optimally.
• You take care of the elimination of software-related errors after implementation
• In this context, you will also develop and implement one or two middleware and application components.

YOUR PROFILE:

To be successful in this position, you ideally have the following qualifications:

• A degree in computer science or comparable training (e.g. IT specialist) with relevant professional experience.
• Good knowledge of software development - ideally in .Net (C#), C/C++ or Java.
• Ambition to take on new technical challenges.
• Enjoy working independently, strong communication skills and a desire for customer contact.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, also internationally.
• Good written and spoken German and English skills.

In software-controlled document verification, the tasks are exciting and varied: data management, algorithms for pattern recognition, contactless access to biometric data, mobile applications and much more are part of this area. Your role in the team will be to take responsibility for a sub-area, driving the integration of the software while ensuring that our solutions meet the highest standards in terms of performance and reliability.
